San Antonio Regional Hospital launches high school shadowing program

The Lewis-San Antonio Healthy Communities Institute at San Antonio Regional Hospital in Upland recently announced the launch of its summer clinical shadowing program for high school students.

Areas of interest include the hospital’s surgery, cardiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and telemetry departments where students will gain hands-on experience and insight into the medical profession. Participating students will also engage in interactive leadership seminars, and workshops and discussions led by professionals.

Applications for next year’s program open in December and close in February 2024. Students who meet the required grade point average standing and demonstrate an interest in the healthcare field are encouraged to apply.
