Styles Music to mark 45 years Saturday

Styles Music will mark its 45th anniversary with a free and open to the public 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. celebration Saturday, September 30 at the store, 777 E. Foothill Blvd., Pomona.

The event will include refreshments and live music from John Paul Leon, Mathew Maldanado and friends, Joel Soto and Battdrill, Leonice and Annand, and Vince Brocato.

Founded in 1978 by the late Lou Styles, Styles Music is now run by his sons Lou Jr. and Gregg.

“I started this store and I’ve been lucky enough to have two of the best sons that work their butts off for me,” the elder styles told the Courier in 2019. “I only come in to visit and say hello. They make all the decisions, especially this guy,” he said, gesturing to Lou Jr. “He’s my right hand man. And Gregg is my left hand man. And between the two of ‘em…”

“You don’t need no hands,” Lou Jr. joked. More info is at stylesmusic.com.
