Beloved mother, 40 year Chaffey High teacher

Bertha Peters died March 3 at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek, California after a short illness, in the loving presence of two of her grown children. She was 92.

She was born May 25, 1931 and lived in Claremont for 46 years. She taught math at Chaffey High School in Ontario for 40 years and attended Claremont United Church of Christ Congregational.

She is survived by three adult children, Frances Burke, Albert Peters, and Paula Nelson, and by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held in person and over Zoom at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at First Congregational Church of Martinez, California, with a reception to follow.
