Glenn Vernon Thompson, a longtime US history teacher at El Roble Intermediate School, died on October 18, 2016. He was 87.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 19 at Claremont United Church of Christ, 233 Harrison Ave., Claremont.
