Claremont resident Mary Schmit died peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was 81.

A rosary will be held in her honor on Wednesday, February 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Todd Memorial Chapel, located at 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd. in Claremont. A celebration of life and mass will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption, located at 435 Berkeley Ave. in Claremont, with a reception following at Seaver House, 305 N. College Ave. in Claremont.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Senior Services, 141 S. Spring St., Claremont CA 91711. A full account of Mrs. Schmit’s life will be included in a future edition of the COURIER.
