Longtime Claremont resident and volunteer Muriel Farritor died August 24 at her Claremont home after a long battle with cancer. She was 90 years old.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, September 1 at Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd. in Claremont. The public is invited to attend to celebrate her life and contributions to Claremont. A reception will follow the service at 1 p.m. at 640 Occidental Dr., Claremont. Ms. Farritor’s full obituary will appear in a future edition of the COURIER.
