Obituary: Marion Faust Brockers

Storyteller, traveler, camper, crafter

Marion Faust Brockers died at her home in Santa Clarita, California on February 5 after a battle with cancer.

Marion was born October 12, 1956 to Don and Margaret Faust. She grew up in Claremont, attended Sycamore Elementary School, El Roble Junior High School and Claremont High School, from where she graduated in 1974.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University and her master’s from the University of Oklahoma, with majors in psychology. For most of her career she worked in human resources management at Kaiser Permanente.

She was an avid traveler, camper, craft maker and storyteller. Her friends and family remember her for her sense of adventure, her good humor, and her ability to spin a hilarious story out of an everyday occurrence (often involving an encounter with a critter or an adventure gone awry).

She is survived by her husband Conrad Brockers; sisters Katherine Faust and Ann Faust Bailey (husband Steve, children Allison, Keith and Ross).

Services are pending.
