Obituary: Lynn Louise Ross

Travel agency owner, crafter, Dodger fan, loving grandmother

Lynn Louise Ross, age 76, died Sunday, August 4, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born June 3, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to James Knox Dysart and Mary Lou Dysart (Unger).

She spent most of her life near Claremont, where she owned and operated her own travel agency. She did everything for her boys when they were young, including cheering them on at baseball games, participating in their schools, and taking them on travel adventures and cruises.

She enjoyed all sports and watching her sons’ favorite teams play, as well as her beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.

In addition, she loved crafts and taught countless stamping classes, helping to inspire creativity in others. She will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Ross; and nephew, James Miller.

She is survived by her sons Rich Ross and wife Jenn, and Greg Ross; grandson, Aidan Ross; sister, Jane Williams and husband Cam; niece Jessica Miller, as well as other relatives and a lifetime of friends in California.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24 at Todd Memorial Chapel, 325 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont.
