Beverly Sloane

Beverly Sloane died Tuesday, February 18 at 87 years of age.

After a long career with Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, she retired after nearly 30 years of service and devoted her time to local feminist, women’s and environmental causes, the Democratic Club, and her synagogue.

Burial service is at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park Hollywood Hills at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday February 23.

A memorial service will be held at Temple Beth Israel, 3033 N. Towne Ave, Pomona, on Monday, February 24 at 5:30 p.m.

Memorial donations can be made to the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens, or the American Civil Liberties Union. 

David Rosenfeld

Longtime Claremont resident David Rosenfeld died February 20. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Alice Flores

Alice Marie Flores, renowned Padua Hills Mexican Player who performed at the Historic Padua Hills Theater in Claremont, died February 13.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10191 Central Ave., Montclair.
