Charles L. Decker, Jr.

Claremont resident Charles L. Decker, Jr. died in Claremont on June 26, 2012. He was 68.

Born on February 25, 1944 in Kendrick, Idaho to Vera and Charles L. Decker, Sr., Mr. Decker was the first of 4 children.

In 1962, he graduated from Shadle Park High School in Spokane, Washington. He then attended Eastern Washington University where he earned a bachelor’s degree. He spent his career as a marketing consultant for medical devices, pharmaceuticals and ophthalmology.

Mr. Decker had a passion for sailing, skiing and traveling the world.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Charles Decker, Gregory Michael Decker, Doug Alan Decker and Elizabeth Grace Storey; his brother, Carl Decker; and his sisters, Brenda Bacon and Carol Smith.

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Casablanca Bar & Grill, 500 W. First St., Claremont. Per Mr. Decker’s wishes, he was laid to rest next to his mother and father at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane.
