Wednesday, June 13

Three people were arrested on identity theft and stolen vehicle charges. Around 5:40 a.m. near Towne and Foothill, an officer pulled over the driver of a car that was reported stolen out of Pasadena, according to Cpl. Jacob Tillman of the Claremont Police Department. During the investigation, police found personal identifying information for an unknown number of people. The driver, 30-year-old Thomas Albertson of Studio City, was arrested for the stolen car and identity theft. Two passengers, 33-year-old Suppatra Tansuvit of Valley Village and 23-year-old Estefani Guadarrama of Van Nuys, were arrested for identity theft. The investigation is ongoing.

A school van was robbed of its gasoline after an unknown suspect cut the gas line overnight, Cpl. Tillman said. About five gallons of fuel was taken from the van, which was parked on the 500 block of Base Line Road. There is no information on the suspect.

Thursday, June 14

A Pomona woman was arrested on a drunk in public charge at Oakmont Elementary. Around 12:40 p.m., the police received a call regarding a possible drunk parent at the school, according to police logs. When police arrived, they found 33-year-old Sarah Reaves was allegedly too intoxicated to remain in public, and she also had a misdemeanor warrant out of Orange County on her record. She was arrested and transported to CPD jail to sober up.

Friday, June 15

A Pomona man was arrested for being under the influence of drugs after he ran away from police. Officers tried to contact 33-year-old Ryan Lizarraga on the 1300 block of Towne Avenue around 5 p.m., at which point Mr. Lizarraga reportedly ran away from them. He was found across the street at Revive Church, where officers determined he was tripping on some unknown narcotic. He was arrested and transported to CPD jail.

Saturday, June 16

Police are looking for a burglar who smashed the rear window of a detached garage at a home on the 400 block of east Arrow Highway. While the crime scene suggested that the burglar rummaged through different parts of the garage, nothing was reported stolen. There is no suspect information.

Sunday, June 17

Police are looking for two burglars who smashed the front window of Baskin-Robbins around 3 a.m. at the Vons shopping center on Base Line Road. Surveillance cameras from the scene captured the duo using a large sledgehammer to smash the glass door, according to a release from the Claremont Police Department. The two ran inside and looked around an office area before leaving through the same smashed door. There is no known property loss. Both burglars were described as males of average height and weight, both wearing dark hoodies with the hoods up, dark pants with backpacks, dark-colored gloves and facemasks over their faces. Anyone with information should call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.

Two cars were broken into on the same block on San Jose Avenue.  Around 8 p.m., the unknown burglar smashed the windows, and took the cars’ batteries. Both batteries were valued at $130 each. There is no suspect information.

Monday, June 18

A laptop and other small items were stolen from a garage on the 500 block of Converse Avenue. The theft was discovered around 8:40 a.m., and the total loss was around $370. There was no suspect information, and it was unknown how the burglar made entry into the garage.
