Wednesday, October 28

The Claremont Police Department received a 2:30 p.m. call regarding a possibly intoxicated man sitting in a black truck parked in the Vons parking lot at 550 E. Base Line Rd. Arriving officers interviewed Francisco Flores, a 35-year-old La Puente man, and confirmed the caller’s suspicions. Mr. Flores was arrested for public intoxication, held for detox, and later released without charges.

Police were called to city hall, 207 Harvard Ave., at 10 p.m. regarding two people involved in a voluble dispute. They allege one of the combatants, a 33-year-old homeless man, was drunk. They arrested him for public intoxication and for three outstanding warrants, one from San Bernardino County and two from Claremont. He was cited for the San Bernardino warrant, but held on the Claremont warrants. He spent two days in the Claremont jail before appearing in Pomona Superior Court Friday, October 30.
