Claremont High School teacher Ryan Easton has been named Claremont Unified School District’s teacher of the year for 2023-24.

Easton, pictured here (in necklace) with his family after being honored in a ceremony at the CUSD Board of Education’s April 20 meeting, began his teaching career at CHS nine years ago.

“From the start, his connection with students and ability to provide engaging classroom experiences [was] exceptional,” read a statement from CUSD. “He also is at most student events and jumps into Comedy Sports, rallies, plays, and other events that engage students. Students respond to his positivity and support, and they know they can go to him, and he will give them everything he has to ensure they succeed. He is a natural role model, who shows, through his actions, how adults should live their lives and give back to their community.”
