Results from the Wolfpack Varsity Tournament: on Thursday, September 22 Claremont defeated Burroughs, 16-6, in the first game, then followed it up with an evening win over Temple City, 21-15. On Saturday, September 24, the team lost 14-10 to Burbank in the morning before bouncing back in the afternoon against Santiago High of Corona with a 15-11 victory.
The team then opened up Palomares League play on Tuesday, September 27, and picked up a 14-8 victory at Glendora.
On Monday, October 3, the Pack will host Colony for a 3:30 p.m. league match. Then on Wednesday, October 5, it will host Bonita at 4 p.m.
Claremont hosts the Varsity October Classic tournament next weekend and is set to play TBD opposition at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 7, and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 8.
On Thursday, September 22, the Wolfpack hosted Alta Loma in Palomares League action and won 3-0. On Tuesday, September 27, the team fell to Glendora, 3-1, at home. The team’s match at Colony on Thursday, September 29, was played after press time.
Claremont is at Bonita on Tuesday, October 4, and hosts Ayala Thursday, October 6. First serves are set for 4:30 p.m.
On Thursday, September 22, Claremont lost a tight one at home against Bonita, 31-28, in nonleague action. Senior running back Caden Campuzano was the star of the show for the Wolfpack, carrying the ball 16 times for 92 yards. The senior also made six receptions and picked up 85 receiving yards, finishing with 177 total yards and three touchdowns. The result gives CHS an even 2-2 overall record ahead of Friday’s nonleague home game against South Hills. On Friday, October 7, the team will travel to Covina for the final nonleague game of the season. Kickoffs are set for 7 p.m.
Boys and girls cross-country
Key results from the 2022 Nike Portland Cross-Country Invite on Saturday, September 24: out of 24 schools in the boys 5,000-meter Danner Championships, Claremont finished 15th overall with a score of 384. CHS junior Andrew Lee placed highest for the Wolfpack, finishing in the 63rd position out of 176 with a time of 16:30.0.
In the girls 5,000-meter Danner Championships, Claremont finished 17th out 24 teams with an overall score of 376. Out of 178 runners, CHS junior Denise Jie Yi Chen finished in the 11th position with a final time of 18:11.2.

The Pack will return to league play next Thursday, October 6, with a home game against Glendora. Tee-off is 2:30 p.m.

On Thursday, September 22, the Gauls traveled to Nogales for Mountain View League action and came away with a 22-1 victory. Then on Tuesday, September 27 the team won at Edgewood, 13-1.
Webb is back in action next Thursday, October 6 when they host Workman at 4 p.m.
Results from the Chadwick Tournament in Palos Verdes: on Saturday, September 24, the Gauls took down Wildwood, 3-0, but fell against West Torrance, 3-0. In a single set elimination game, the team lost to host Chadwick, 1-0.
On Tuesday, September 27, Webb lost to Capistrano Valley Christian, 3-0, at home. The team’s Thursday, September 29, home league matchup against Tarbut V’Torah was played after press time.
Next Thursday, October 6, the Gauls have a 6 p.m. match at Western Christian.
On Saturday, September 24, Webb traveled to Temecula Prep for Manzanita League play and fell 17-6. The result leaves the Gauls with a 1-2 league record, 1-3 overall.
