Last month, Harvey Mudd College’s Office of Communications and Marketing team received two Polaris Awards from the Inland Empire Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The awards represent the highest standards of performance in the public relations and communications professions within the Inland Empire, according to a news release from HMC.

The team won awards in the brochure/flyer category for a comic book inspired viewbook and in the innovative communication category for a “Giving Pi Day” campaign which raised more than $144,000 from 388 donors for the college’s annual fund.

“This achievement is a testament to their exceptional talent, dedication and collaborative spirit,” HMC’s Chief Communications Officer Stephanie Graham wrote in a statement. “Together, with our colleagues in admission and advancement, we are honored by these awards, and this recognition only fuels our passion to find even more creative ways to recruit and support future STEM leaders.”
