Students invited to join Making Change contest

The city of Claremont and the Claremont Unified School District are once again accepting entries to the 30th annual “Making Change” contest.

The contest presents an opportunity for Claremont students to honor and remember what advocates of social change have done to transform our world for the better.

Students (K-12) who live in or attend school in Claremont may participate by submitting individual letters, essays, multimedia presentations or artistic works  completed as a group. Three age groups are offered—elementary, junior high and high school.

An award ceremony for participants is scheduled Wednesday, February 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hughes Community Center. The deadline for entries is Friday, January 31 to any school office in CUSD or the Hughes Center.

For information or an entry form, contact Human Services at (909) 399-5490 or visit the city website at ci.claremont.ca.us and search “Making Change.”
