Sumner Danbury principal Rahkiah Brown’s great-great-great-grandfather, Richard Brock, was given to a Virginia woman as a wedding present. On Wednesday, Vail Park looked like the storm just blew through with many fallen trees that have yet to be cleaned up, but that didn’t stop children from using the playground. The scene is a stark reminder how much work still has to be done, but the park does play an important role because it’s one of several locations where the city has roll-off dumpsters where residents can dispose of debris.
