Pitzer College Art Galleries hosts a free and open to the public opening for its upcoming installation, “Julia Haft-Candell: The Yet To Be,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, September 23 at 1050 N. Mills Ave., Claremont. The exhibit, curated by Ciara Ennis, runs from through December 8 and is broken into two parts, “Part 1: Hands/Feelers” and “Part 2: The Infinite Library,” which will be displayed across the Nichols Gallery and Lenzer Family Art Gallery.

La Verne Community Services Department has announced Las Flores Park was selected as one of nine contenders by Niagara Bottling, Niagara Cares, and the National Recreation and Park Association for the 2023 Niagara Perk Your Park Campaign.

Local students are invited to the 10th annual Latino College Expo outside of Bronco Center at Cal Poly Pomona, 3801 W. Temple Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16. This free and open to the public networking event is for college and high school students exploring their educational options.

Rolling Stones and Tom Petty tribute band Rolling Heartbreakers will headline this year’s OPARC HeartBEAT music festival, set for Saturday, September 23 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Sontag Greek Theater, at Bonita Avenue and Fourth Street in Claremont. The MLC Band will open the festival with hits from the 1950s to today.
